Membership is open to all school Principals in the Waitākere area. We warmly invite members to attend general meetings and conferences. Deputy Principals, at the invitation of their Principal, are also welcome to attend events.
WAPA is supported by Learning Network New Zealand to bring a wide range of PLD to the sector and continues to deliver relevant and up-to-date professional development.
WAPA is committed to continuing a positive partnership with our local Ministry of Education office.

Chris France, from NZ School Boards Association, will be running a session on the governance and management dynamic within schools, particularly from the point of view of the principal. His session will specifically cover the relationships between both the Principal and the Board and the Principal and the Presiding Member.
